Disney Channel has hired David Levine as exec director, program planning, and Penelope Jewkes as director of program planning, both based at the networks Burbank, California headquarters.
Levine will oversee the development and implementation of programming strategies for Disney Channel as well as for ABC Familys Jetix block. Jewkes will be responsible for the programming strategies related to Playhouse Disney, Disney Channels preschool programming block.

Both bring a wealth of knowledge and their proven track records are sure to be tremendous assets to both Disney Channel and the Jetix block on ABC Family.
Levine was svp, business affairs and development, for Ragdoll Ltd., where he was responsible for developing and implementing business strategies for the U.K. companys properties including TELETUBBIES and BOOHBAH. Additionally, he held positions at The itsy bitsy Ent. Co. where he served as general counsel, and with Marvel Ent.
Jewkes previously served as a senior content producer at Fisher-Price where she developed learning toys for such properties as Disneys Winnie the Pooh, The Wiggles, SpongeBob SquarePants and Blues Clues. She also held production positions at Nickelodeon.
