Sony’s adaptation of beloved Naughty Dog PlayStation franchise pushed back another three months after losing its sixth director… will 7 be the lucky number?
Sony’s widely anticipated action-adventure, Uncharted, seems to be experiencing the dreaded El Dorado’s Curse. The film adaptation of Naughty Dog’s beloved PlayStation video game franchise, which has been in development off and on since 2008, has been pushed back once again. Back in November, we reported that the project claimed a December 2020 release, but it has now been pushed to March 5, 2021, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This news comes after LAIKA CEO Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and the Two Strings), the film’s sixth director, stepped down due to scheduling issues surrounding Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 commitments. A new director has not been announced, but Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland) is the rumored seventh choice. Could "7" finally be the film’s lucky number?
