The Encounters Retrospective brings 20 short films from 20 years of Encounters Festival, setting the benchmark for creativity, diversity and impact in short film.
Bristol, U.K. -- To mark its 20th Anniversary, the U.K.’s leading short film and animation festival has announced Encounters Retrospective, a unique collection of 20 short films selected from 20 years of the Festival.
Free and open to the public, the Encounters Retrospective will be held Wednesday, September 17 through Sunday, September 21 at Watershed. Films will be presented in Perpetual Cinema, offering drop in viewing.

Mounted with the support of the BFI Film Festival Fund, the Retrospective will include Michaela Pavlatova’s Řeči, Řeči, Řeči (Words Words Words), Michael Dudok de Wit’s Father and Daughter, Adam Elliot’s Uncle, David Fine & Alison Snowden’s Bob's Birthday, Suzie Templeton's Dog, and Joanna Quinn’s Dreams & Desires - Family Ties.
