EuropaCorp has greenlit the English-language 3D sci-fi flick SECTION 8, reports VARIETY.
EuropaCorp has greenlit the English-language 3D sci-fi flick SECTION 8, reports VARIETY. PREY ALONE helmers Stephen St. Leger and James Mather will direct the film and co-write it with EuropaCorp head Luc Besson, who will be producing.
The story is set in a space prison where 500 of Earth's worst criminals are kept in comas until they suddenly wake.
EuropaCorp will pony up the $30+ million budget. The studio hopes to start filming in late spring or early summer. They are currently shopping the project to Hollywood studios for distribution.
