Our friends at Adult Swim have shared a clip with AWN from its adult animated comedy Teenage Euthanasia, which returned in July with an all-new season boasting an impressive lineup of guest voices, including Kieran Culkin as Ref Mazos in its upcoming episode “A Waist-Down Ghost Town Shut Down.” Yes, it rhymes with Amazon’s founder’s name – coincidence? I think not!
The new episode airs tonight, September 20 at Midnight ET/PT (it streams the next day on Max).
Set in a mildly apocalyptic near-future inland Florida, the show follows the Fantasy family and their inland Florida funeral home, Tender Endings. The cast of characters includes recently undead Trophy Fantasy (Maria Bamford); her teenage daughter, Euthanasia "Annie" Fantasy (Jo Firestone); Annie's Oedipus-complex-stricken Uncle Pete (Tim Robinson); and Annie's "old country" immigrant grandmother Baba (Bebe Neuwirth).
In “Waist-Down Ghost Town Shut Down,” with Trophy's help, billionaire Ref Mazos opens a Death Fulfillment Center in Fort Gator, putting local funeral homes like Tender Endings at risk.

In Season 2, Uncle Pete discovers the existence of foreskin and makes friends with a mobster’s limo. Trophy is elected mayor of Fort Gator and finds her calling in sexual education. Annie becomes a teen doctor and continues her quest to be more than a two-hour hang. And Baba fills in for a deceased morning shock jock and goes bear hunting. There’s also a very charismatic goat.
The second season of Teenage Euthanasia features an star-packed lineup of guest voices, including Ann Dowd (Garden State, The Manchurian Candidate); Chris Redd (Saturday Night Live); H. Jon Benjamin (Archer, Bob’s Burgers); J. Smith Cameron (Succession); Janelle James (Abbott Elementary); Jinkx Monsoon (RuPaul’s Drag Race); Joe Pera (Joe Pera Talks With You); Culkin (Succession); Lori Tan Chinn (Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens, Orange is the New Black); Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill); Tim Heidecker (Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Office Hours, Killing It); and Ziwe Fumudoh (Ziwe).
The half-hour 2D animated series is produced by PFFR and animated by Atomic Cartoons. Executive producers include creators Nutting and Levy as well as Lisa M. Thomas, Vernon Chatman, and John Lee, with Scott Adsit as co-executive producer and Jo Firestone as producer.
