Out on DVD and Blu-ray today, May 28, as well as on Digital, Jack Black returns as Po and Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman as his Kung Fu master in chapter 4 of DreamWorks Animation’s action-packed animated comedy.
To celebrate today’s DVD and Blu-ray home entertainment release of DreamWorks Animation’s action-packed animated comedy adventure Kung Fu Panda 4, Universal has shared an exclusive featurette with AWN featuring Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman as Kung Fu master Shifu with a look at Hoffman’s work and the cast and crew’s shared admiration of the true master.
In the film, Jack Black returns as Po, the world’s most skadooshy and unlikely kung fu master, in the hilarious, butt-kicking, snack-appreciating new chapter of DreamWorks Animation’s famed action-comedy franchise. After learning he must find a new hero to take over as Dragon Warrior so that he may fulfill his destiny as the next spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace, Po decides to take one last adventurous mission. He teams up with a quick-witted thief named Zhen, voiced by Awkwafina, a corsac fox, to discover the truth about recent sightings of villains he’s defeated in the past. In a journey that puts both to the test, it will take a wicked, powerful sorceress, The Chameleon, voiced by Oscar winner Viola Davis, to bring them together and remind Po that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places.
The film features the returning voice talent of Black as Po; Hoffman as Kung Fu master Shifu; James Hong (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Po’s adoptive father, Mr. Ping; Academy Award nominee Bryan Cranston as Po’s birth father, Li, and Emmy Award nominee Ian McShane as Tai Lung, Shifu’s former student and arch-nemesis. Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) joins the ensemble as a new character, Han, the leader of the Den of Thieves.
Kung Fu Panda 4 is directed by Mike Mitchell (DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls, Shrek Forever After) and produced by Rebecca Huntley (DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys). The film’s co-director is Ma Stine (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power).
Kung Fu Panda 4 is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital.
