The 9th edition of Festival Stop Motion Montreal will be held September 15-17.
Last year the festival held its first-ever short film program exchange, made via new partnerships with other stop-motion festivals worldwide and cultural events in Montreal. In order to continue and grow this initiative, a Special Programs section has been added to the registration form, giving creators the option to grant the festival permission to share their films in these exchange programs.
Festival Stop Motion Montreal also announced a partnership with FIFEM (Montreal International Children’s Film Festival) for a second year. Until March 12th, FIFEM offers a variety of activities over spring break including two activities in partnership with Festival Stop Motion Montreal:
- Short films from the 2016 Discovery Program will be shown at Cinéma Beaubien Tuesday, March 7th and Friday, March 10th.
- The Festival Stop Motion Montreal team will be on site at the Cinémathèque québécoise hosting two-stop motion animation workshops on Friday, March 10th (Registration required).
