The property began as a six-part comic book from Cuban-American musician Voltaire and spawned a set of digital episodes for Syfy and a role-playing game, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER adds.
Jeffrey Erb and Robert Robinson Jr. will produce what THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER describes as a "fairy tale-tinged" pic set in a "dystopian New York" that has "lost its independence and become a prefecture of Japan."
