London-based exec to sell the company’s line-up of children’s programming into the U.S., Canada, Western Europe and Benelux.
LONDON -- Gaumont Television has hired Nicola Andrews to the newly created position of Vice President, Distribution. Based in London, Andrews will report directly to Erik Pack, President of International Distribution for Gaumont Television, and will be responsible for selling the company’s line-up of children’s programing into the U.S., Canada, and Western Europe as well as selling all of Gaumont Television programing into Benelux. Key animated titles Andrews will be offering include Calimero, Belle and Sebastian and Welcome to Bric-a-Broc.
“With the recent rebranding of Gaumont Television and all of the distribution now centralized into one division, the timing is ideal for adding Nikki to our team,” commented Pack. “Her experience of over two decades, her professionalism, and her keen knowledge of the industry make her the perfect fit for this new position.”
Specializing in television sales and acquisitions, Andrews has been working within the media industry for more than 20 years, commencing her career with state broadcaster TVNZ. Previous roles included Head of Acquisition for Cineflix Rights, Managing Director of London-based animation studio BKN New Media Limited, and television sales for the likes of Sony Pictures and Carlton International (which merged with Granada International in 2004). Most recently, Andrews has been running her own media consultancy firm Hemisphere Distribution based in London.
