Gorillaz founder Jamie Hewlett directed the Virtual Reality video, which has now set a record for the highest debut of a VR video in YouTube history, according to a report by Billboard.
The six-minute video -- in which the animated members of the band enter and interact with a haunted house -- involves a singing pizza and a chaotic outer space environment. It currently has upwards of five million views and was viewed more than three million times within its first 48 hours.
