Mark Gray has resigned from his position as controller of program development Carlton International and will be leaving the company in early February 2004.
Gray joined CTE (Carlton) in 1995 as head of marketing and producer liaison, moving up to controller in 1999. He acquired new programming, largely in the U.K. independent sector, but also internationally, helping Carlton grow its catalog to more than 18,000 hours.
Previously, Gray looked after international program marketing at BBC Worldwide, including the BBC's major sales event, BBC Showcase.
Gray said: I have really enjoyed working at Carlton International and am very proud to have been part of a team which established the company as one of Europe's leading distributors. With the forthcoming Carlton/Granada merger, I now feel it is time for new challenges. I wish Granada International all the best in the future.
Mark has been a major force in the creation and development of Carlton International, said Rupert Dilnott-Cooper, ceo of Carlton Content. He has driven our acquisition, development and marketing as well as being a key counselor and wise voice on our board. We wish him every success.
