Guru Studios announces the appointment of Ian Lambur to the new role of Director of Sales.

Toronto, ON --

Building on the surge in sales and production activities, Guru Studio has appointed Ian Lambur to the new role of Director of Sales.

Reporting to Vice President Mary Bredin, Lambur will manage worldwide sales of the company’s programs which include Emmy-nominated preschool hit Justin Time (52 x 11). Additionally, he will help expand Guru’s family-focused distribution catalog, and secure presales for projects in development. Lambur arrives with a solid reputation in kids entertainment, previously in international distribution at Spanish kidsco Vodka Capital as well as five years of sales with Kidscreen magazine.

Mary Bredin, Vice President of Guru Studio, comments, “We are absolutely thrilled to have Ian on board. His broad experience, dedication and enthusiasm will be a tremendous asset to Guru at this time of rapid growth.”

The last year has seen significant increase in both sales and production activity at Guru Studio.  Guru's development slate now has five new original properties which the company will be presenting at MIPCOM and other upcoming markets. The studio is also currently producing various third party, high-profile series such as Spinmaster’s flagship preschool 3D CGI series for Nickelodeon, Paw Patrol; brand new 2Dseries, Ever After High, from the makers of Monster High; as well as the original CGI Treehouse-BBC co-production, Dinopaws. To manage the increased production volume, Guru recently established a new 6000 square foot studio to house 40 2D Harmony animators and an interactive department that will produce ancillary and complementary online content for both original and third party properties.

Frank Falcone, President of Guru Studio says, “Ian's addition to the team will help expand our sales efforts and provide increased service to clients, allowing us the ability to put a renewed focus on new projects in development.”
