The stop motion ad was directed by master stop frame duo Hoku & Adam, with every single frame and beard shave captured in-camera by a 48-piece camera rig designed by Timeslice. The beard styling is synchronized to the beats of the track. Beards and moustaches are shaved into the rhythm of the track by barber Ryan MacGregor.
“The story of this is basically just beards rocking out,” Hoku & Adam commented about their idea for the spot.
Animated entirely in-house at Partizan Animation, the concept came from agency JWT creatives Claudia Southgate & Verity Fenner and TV Producer Richard Adkins.
