Plug-in allows easy integration and access to cloud-based resources enabling users to submit renders without leaving the app.
“Rendering Houdini simulations often require a ton of compute resources,” said Mac Moore, CEO, Conductor Technologies. “Rather than sink money into local machines or lock up an on-prem farm to complete this work, Conductor provides a flexible option for scaling as you need and not accruing unnecessary costs. Support for nearly any application can be added to Conductor via custom scripting, so artists have been using Houdini on Conductor with much success. We’re thrilled to be able to broaden access to the plugin implementation and reduce setup to a few clicks.”
Conductor, the multi-cloud rendering platform for high compute needs workflows, is compatible with Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems. In addition, it can leverage resources from Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) through the platform or in the cloud providers’ respective marketplaces. Other creative applications supported by Conductor include Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, and Arnold; Blender; Maxon’s Cinema 4D and Redshift; Foundry’s NUKE, Cara VR, KATANA, MODO, and Ocula; Chaos Group’s V-Ray; Pixar’s Renderman; Isotropix’s Clarisse; Golaem; Bluegfx’s Miarmy; Ephere’s Ornatrix; Boris FX’s Silhouette; and Peregrine Labs’ Yeti.
