Howie Mandel gets a visit by Bobby, his animated four-year-old boy alter ego, on tonight's (Feb. 12, 2007) edition of DEAL OR NO DEAL at 8:00 pm on NBC. It came about through the auspices of www.kabillion.com, the kids' online network where the original episodes of Mandel's 1990-1998 Fox network series, BOBBY'S WORLD, can be found for on-demand viewing, with new intros by Mandel. The Film Roman animation studio co-created and animated the series with Mandel.
"We had a contestant, a guest on the show, who grew up watching Bobby and wanted me to do the Bobby voice," Mandel told syndicated columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith. One thing led to another, and "they animated Bobby and will show him on the air."
Mike Young Prods. produced the animation for Taffy Ent. and Kabillion.
Mandel says he is planning fresh episodes of BOBBY'S WORLD and there are also prospects for a BOBBY'S WORLD movie.
