Intuition and S2 Intl. have struck a project-by-project production alliance, reports VARIETY. The duo will first team on KIRIKOU AND THE SORCERESS director Michel Ocelots new animated feature, AZUR ET ASMAR.
AZUR ET ASMAR is an African-style feature, which tells the story of a Muslim and Christian boy who grow up together are then separated and eventually they reunite. The 10 million Euros ($13.3M) feature was recently granted funding from Pan-European film fund Eurimages. Kyle Badla (MONSTERS INC., TOY STORY 2) wills serve as director of animation and DreamWorks' Daniel Cacoault as artistic director.
