On Wednesday, Peter Jackson entered the hospital for stomach pains and underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer, reports ComingSoon.net. Jackson is resting and is expected to make a full recovery. Due to his surgery there will be a slight delay in the start of production on THE HOBBIT films, which are set to arrive in theaters on December 2012 and December 2013.
