The promo for the spy thriller shows a montage of scenes -- a man falling, Bond blasting his gun, a row of caskets shrouded with the British flag -- that are dark, suspenseful and dead-serious.
Skyfall is the twenty-third James Bond film, produced by Eon Productions for MGM, Columbia and Sony, and marks Sam Mendes' first turn directing a 007 movie. Javier Bardem is the villain; Judi Dench returns as M, and Ralph Fiennes portrays a U.K. government official.
