Justin Shipley Joins Monogram

Commercial and documentary Director/DP Justin Shipley joins Monogram, a production and post shop.

Monogram, an innovative production and post shop, announced a new partnership with commercial and documentary Director/DP  Justin  Shipley.

Justin has a unique eye for composition and an editor’s sense of the cut, with a background that includes a vast wealth of production and post experience.

"Justin's creative vision, technical knowledge, authenticity and sweeping imagery have always impressed me. Our clients come to Monogram for excellence and that is exactly what they get working with Justin Shipley," said Ricardo Rivera, Founder/Director at Monogram and Klip Collective.

Justin's skill and vision as a Director/DP draws on a foundation as a promo and motion graphics editor/shooter in Los Angeles, and a 15 year career as a Director/DP shooting documentaries all over the world, with a flare for high level aviation content. From WWII history docs in Palau to anthropological research docs in Ethiopia and Central America, Justin has told some amazing stories and encountered many technical challenges along the way. His ability to think quickly on his feet and deliver stunning pictures, regardless of conditions, is well known. Justin's work as a Director of Photography earned him an Emmy nomination for Cinematography in News & Documentary.

Justin has a special interest in emerging filmmaking tools and technology, always using them in the service of vibrant, compelling storytelling. As an early adopter of Phantom 4K Flex ultra high-‐speed image capture and MöVI camera stabilization, Justin is now an expert innovator with these and other new pieces of equipment.

“Working with the team at Monogram has been such an easy fit. Their in‐house crew of producers, editors, graphics, animation, and color experts makes it easy for me to take ideas from concept to completion, in an environment where being playful and abstract is nurtured and encouraged,” said Shipley.
