The World Heritage Convention will host a premiere screening for primary school children at its Parisian headquarters, followed by a discussion led by biodiversity and animal conservation experts; series set to launch Spring 2024.
French 2D animated series Audrey’s Shelter has secured the support of UNESCO to further foster ecological awareness among children.
The series follows the daily life of Audrey, a seven-year-old girl living in a sanctuary dedicated to endangered species. Along with her best friend Tommy, she continuously discovers new animal species and learns to coexist harmoniously with them. Through her adventures, the series educates and inspires young audiences about the importance of preserving biodiversity.
Co-produced by Watch Next, Image-in Atlantique, and Peekaboo Animation, the show is directed by Alexandre Coste and based on an original concept by Sylvain Huchet. Kids First is the international distributor.
UNESCO will welcome numerous primary school cohorts to its Parisian headquarters for the global premiere screening of a double series episode slated for early 2024 release. A discussion follows the screening, led by biodiversity and animal conservation experts.
The series is produced with the support of seven public channels from four different countries: France Télévisions; TVOKids; Radio-Canada; TFO; Knowledge (Canada); ZDF (Germany); and Clan TV / RTVE (Spain). The series broadcast starts in Spring 2024.
Kids First introduced the show at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in September. YLE, the Finnish public channel; E-Junior, the educational pay channel of the United Arab Emirates; RTS, the Swiss public television; and the international channel TV5 Monde have purchased the show.
Slated for a March 2024 delivery, the series is produced with the assistance of CNC, The Canadian Media Fund, the Creative Europe Media program of the European Union, and the regions of Ile-de-France and Hauts-de-France.
