Laika Animation Studios will be coming to this year’s San Diego Comic Con to show off its latest film, “ParaNorman,” coming to theaters on August 17, 2012.
Those of you headed to this year’s San Diego Comic Con are in for a spooky treat: Laika Animation Studios will be coming to the convention to show off its latest film, ParaNorman, coming to theaters on August 17, 2012.
On Friday the 13th, a panel dedicated to ParaNorman will be held in Hall H featuring actors Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse; directors Chris Butler & Sam Fell; and Laika CEO and ParaNorman lead animator Travis Knight. Dave Karger will moderate.
Also on Friday the 13th, Brian McLean, ParaNorman’s head of RP (rapid prototyping), will participate in ASIFA-Hollywood's State of the Industry panel from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
ParaNorman walk-around characters will be deployed throughout the convention and will be available for photos. In addition, a ParaNorman-themed ice cream truck will be cruising around the Gaslamp district throughout the convention featuring special events and offering free ice cream and giveaways to the public.
