Universal Pictures has picked up a spec pitch from LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN head writer Rodney Rothman titled THE SOMETHING, reports VARIETY. For a mid-six-figure paycheck, Rothman, who is the youngest head writer on LETTERMAN ever, will write and produce.
Taking a page from ZOMBIELAND, the film is a horror-comedy set in deep space.
Erik Baiers and Anikah McLaren are shepherding for Universal.
