New joint venture to manage growing ‘Deer Little Forest’ brand.
LONDON -- Kid’s media executive Lisa Hryniewicz and Deer Little Forest creator Jo Rose have announced the creation of a new joint venture, Koko Rose Media, Ltd. Koko Rose Media is a UK-based limited company which will handle the management of worldwide rights to Deer Little Forest.
Jo Rose is a Henries Award nominated illustrator and creator of Deer Little Forest, a growing preschool and lifestyle brand which originated as a successful line of greeting cards sold at Harrods, John Lewis, Paperchase, Liberty’s and Selfridges.
Lisa started representing the brand as an agent after first noticing the property at BLE 2013. Since then Deer Little Forest rapidly expanded into platforms such as publishing and television, and appointed licensing agents in 13 markets including USA, Germany and China.
The decision to incorporate and expand the corporate structure was made in order to accommodate the rapid growth and obvious potential of the property - both across various types of media and industry, as well as geographically. Hryniewicz and Rose are co-directors of the 50/50 venture, jointly managing the company on a day-to-day basis. As Creative Director, Rose is responsible for all aspects related to Art Direction (creation, production and quality control of product development), and as Managing Director, Lisa oversees sales and business development.
