Live-Action ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Main Cast Revealed

An impressive talent list, including many native Hawaiian actors, are set for the upcoming live-action/CGI hybrid film streaming exclusively on Disney+ May 10, 2024.

The Ohana is finally together! The main cast of Disney’s live-action/CGI hybrid Lilo & Stitch film has finally been announced and is refreshingly packed with native Hawaiian actors. Joining previously announced Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley are Sydney Agudong (On My Block) as Nani, Kaipo Dudoit as David Kawena, Tia Carrere (Original Nani in Lilo & Stitch, Wayne’s World) as Mrs. Kekoa, and Courtney B. Vance (The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Lovecraft Country) as Cobra Bubbles. Original Stitch voice actor Chris Sanders is in final talks to reprise his role.

Disney’s original animated feature tells the story of an unlikely familial bond formed by a lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo and a ‘cuddly’ alien named Stitch, who is genetically engineered by a mad scientist to wreak havoc in the universe.

The Lilo & Stitch adaptation is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On) from a script penned by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright. Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich of Rideback are producing, with Rideback’s Ryan Halprin executive producing.

The adaptation’s creative team includes production designer Todd Cherniawsky (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Trek: Picard) and visual effects supervisor Craig Hammack (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Black Panther, Tomorrowland).

Lilo & Stitch is expected to release May 10, 2024 exclusively on Disney+.
