London-based creative agency Man+Hatchet recently partnered with health brand Withings to create “Sam’s Body,” an amazing stop-motion animation made entirely from naked people.
The campaign, aimed at increasing global market awareness of the brand’s offerings, leads with Withing’s message of “get to know your body” and tells the story of Sam, an out-of-shape man, who gets back in touch with his body and is all the better for it.
The film was shot over the course of three days in a basketball stadium in Tallinn, Estonia, with the help of 100 naked people. Two thousand still images were captured using a Phase One IQ160 camera mounted on a rig attached to the 20-meter high roof. These still images were then stitched together in a painstaking process to create a stop-motion animation of Sam’s story.
