Tracker features advanced sensors, lightweight portability, and extended battery life, and is specifically designed for motion capture, virtual production, and full-body virtual reality.
Manus has announced the Manus Pro Tracker, a professional SteamVR tracker designed specifically for motion capture, virtual production, and full-body virtual reality. The tracker features the latest sensors resulting in more reliable data. It also offers an easily interchangeable battery with 4 1⁄2 hours of real-world battery life, which further reduces down-time.
“After years of using SteamVR Tracking, we are excited to launch our own SteamVR enabled product,” remarked Mansus CEO Bart Loosman. “We have been amazed by the accuracy and ease-of-use of this tracking solution for a long time. As one of the very first companies in the world to get access to the SteamVR technology, we hope to improve the workflow of creative professionals around the world with our very own professional tracker.”
To improve both comfort and stability of the tracker, its weight has been reduced to 62 grams. The tracker is 44% lighter when compared to available alternatives. The integrated universal mounting adapter enables easy attachment of the Manus Pro Tracker on Manus Prime II Series Motion Capture & Virtual Reality gloves. The optional professional strap-set will provide a universal solution as well as maximum stability for wearing professional SteamVR trackers. The tracker and strap-set combined are perfect for Polygon, Manus’ full-body inverse-kinematics solution.
The Manus Pro Tracker features USB-C for easy charging and wired use. Fully charging the tracker takes just over an hour. The tracker features an easy-to-use sliding button for turning on, off, and pairing.
