Anima Estudios has announced with the support of Fidecine Mexico the release of its second feature animated film, IMAGINUM. The film will be released in theaters nationwide in August 2005, distributed by Videocine, the movie production and distribution company of Televisa.
The main characters are voiced by Eugenio Derbez (Mexico´s most popular comedian), Giovanni Florido, Ilse Olivo and Ruben Trujillo.
Alberto Mar and Isaac Sandoval direct this new and original story that starts when three crazy aliens are forced by an even crazier alien, called Yxxxxx, to break loose from the space nuthouse in which they live with the sole purpose of conquering the universe. While looking for a restroom they end up landing on Earth and that's when Yxxxxx decides he will start his galactic empire on the blue planet. So its up to Dante Naranja a kid with an alien artifact that uses the energy of imagination to transform everyday objects into incredible devices to save the world.
Anima Estudios, founded in 2002, produced the first animated feature film in Mexico in more than 30 years, MAGOS Y GIGANTES (WIZARDS AND GIANTS).
