CG-animated series from Russian creators Alexander Romanetz and Viacheslav Marchenko set to screen across Greece on Nickelodeon.
INK GLOBAL has announced that new animation series The Mojicons is set to screen across Greece on Nickelodeon. The Mojicons is the show that reveals the behind-the-scenes world of the internet, where the Mojicons live, the innumerable emoticons that grace our emails and text messages.
Sadly, this zany bunch of condensed emotions is clueless about how the Web works! When a mysterious digital villain steals the @ symbol, all electronic correspondence grinds to a halt. The Mojicons must undertake an awe-inspiring and dangerous quest to restore their system. Trouble is, they don’t know what their ‘system’ actually is. Many a jaw will drop on both sides of the screen as the internet universe reveals its secrets to both the Mojicons and the kids watching their crazy adventures.
The show is the work of Russian creators Alexander Romanetz and Viacheslav Marchenko. Nickelodeon Greece will show the entire first series, comprising 52 episodes of 11 minutes each. The show will premiere at 11.30 on Sunday, September 11th, then screen each Sunday after at the same time. The Nickelodeon deal comes hot on the heels of a broadcasting agreement with Space Toon, which will see The Mojicons beamed across MENA.
“Broadcasters across the world are seeing the potential of The Mojicons,” said Ink Global Director Claus Tømming. “That’s no surprise, as it’s a wonderful piece of storytelling that combines wit, warmth and great looking animation. It’s fantastic to be working with Nickelodeon Greece and we expect to be announcing on more broadcasting news very soon.”
“The Mojicons is going to be big in Greece – it’s fresh, funny and original and I’m sure it will be a big hit with our viewers!” Added Natasa Lesioti, Programming & Editorial Director of Nickelodeon Greece.
