Monster Distributes Acquires Harvey Krumpet

In a deal stemming from connections made at the Annecy International Animation Festival, Monster Distributes has acquired the rights to Adam Elliots HARVIE KRUMPET. Monster now holds the international distribution rights for the 23-minute stop-motion film.

HARVIE KRUMPET is the biography of an ordinary man seemingly cursed with bad luck. Through suffering from Tourette Syndrome, surviving a lightning strike, having his testicle removed and developing Alzheimer's disease, Harvie discovers the true meaning of what it is to be human. The film won three awards at the Annecy Animation Festival, including the "Prix FIPRESC" Press Award, the "Prix du public" Audience Award and the "Prix spécial du jury," which is one of only two awards in the short film category. Produced by Melodrama Pictures with the support of SBS Independent, Film Victoria and the Australian Film Commission, the picture features the voices of Geoffrey Rush (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN), Kamahl (NED KELLY), Julie Forsyth (BABE) and John Flaus (THE DISH), and was written, directed and animated by Adam Elliot, produced by Melanie Coombs, edited by Bill Murphy and sound by Peter Walker and the team at Soundwaves.

Monster Distributes is an international distribution company, which finances and distributes TV series worldwide. Monster has sold programs to over 150 countries, with its animation catalogue including the Oscar-nominated GIVE UP YER AUL SINS and the model animated award-winning special APE.
