The ‘Russian Doll’ and ‘Poker Face’ actress boards Marvel’s remake in an undisclosed role alongside Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Susan Storm (The Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (The Human Torch); the film flies into theaters July 25, 2025.
Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll, Poker Face) is set to join the upcoming The Fantastic Four in an undisclosed role, according to Variety.
Lyonne joins Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones) as the brilliant and elastic Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic); Vanessa Kirby (Napoleon, The Crown) as the powerful Susan Storm (The Invisible Woman); Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear, The Punisher) as the clobberin’ Ben Grimm (The Thing); Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as the charismatic hot head Johnny Storm (The Human Torch); Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal, a version of Silver Surfer; and Paul Walter Hauser in a mystery role.
Matt Shakman (WandaVision) directs from a script by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. While the plot of the film remains a mystery, the previously released teaser image does hint at a mid-century setting. In the comics, Marvel’s First Family are astronauts who gain their otherworldly powers from cosmic rays in space. Can you say 1969?
Shakman produces alongside Kevin Feige. So far, only Framestore is credited for the superpowered VFX.
