After debuting in November, the hugely popular series has been picked up for a second season, promising more mystical mayhem as the deadpan eldest daughter of the Addams Family continues her ‘tortuous journey’ at the spooky prep school, Nevermore Academy.
Netflix has announced that Wednesday, the streamer’s new hit series focused on the deadpan eldest Addams Family daughter, will be returning for a second season - more details are coming! Meanwhile, check out the just-dropped video announcement below.
The sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery series chronicles Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Her attempts to master her emerging psychic ability thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town. She is left to solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
In an interview with Tudum.com, creators/showrunners/executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar commented, “It’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world. Thrilled to continue Wednesday’s tortuous journey into season two. We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky spooky world of Nevermore. Just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”
