FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment’s new hit preschool property, ‘Kate & Mim-Mim,’ is acquired by major international broadcasters in Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, Finland, Russia, Poland and Turkey.
LONDON -- FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has announced that its hit new pre-school property Kate & Mim-Mim has been acquired by a number of major international broadcasters including Disney Asia, MBC (Middle East), ETV (South Africa), YLE (Finland), Karusel (Russia), Cartoonito (Italy), MiniMini (Poland) and Minika (Turkey).
These significant sales are in addition to existing deals with major broadcasters that include, CBeebies (U.K.), Disney Junior (U.S.), Super RTL (Germany), Clan (Spain), Lagardère (France), DR (Denmark), SVT (Sweden), Panda (Portugal), Mini Max (Central Eastern Europe), PBS (Thailand) and Okto (Singapore).
A lively animated pre-school series about the special friendship between a spirited five-year-old and her toy bunny, Kate & Mim-Mim has enjoyed substantial success since its launch. The additional deals bring the total number of international territories to 125.

In addition to the raft of TV sales a number of home entertainment deals have also been signed for the show with PBS (U.S.), Big Picture (Spain), SF (Nordics), and Cass (Poland) they will all release their first DVDs next year.
Inspired by a real life girl Kate & Mim-Mim follows the fantastical adventures of Kate, a feisty little girl, who, together with her toy rabbit Mim-Mim, travels to the fantasy world of Mimiloo where Mim-Mim comes alive as a larger-than-life playmate. In each episode, Kate and Mim-Mim and their group of loveable friends discover exciting new places and set off on adventures, all in the hope of solving a puzzling problem Kate has encountered in the real world.
Created by the award-winning husband and wife team Scott and Julie Stewart, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment holds the exclusive worldwide TV distribution and licensing rights to the property outside of Canada. The second series of the show is currently in production and will premiere on Disney Junior U.S. next year.
