New FXX Short Film Showcase ‘Cake’ Debuts Tonight

Weekly half-hour series features narratively and visually diverse, live-action and animated shorts from both new and established filmmakers.

Cake, a new animated and live-action short film showcase series, debuts tonight on FXX at 10:30 p.m ET/PT. The half-hour show features a visually diverse, handcrafted assortment of varied-length shorts from a wide range of new and established storytellers, all designed to make you laugh while making you think as well.

Whether you love surprising animation, relatable musical poetry or emotionally-charged comedy, the show aims to provide something for everyone to enjoy. The Cake lineup currently features Oh Jerome, No; Quarter Life Poetry; Two Pink Doors; Psychotown; Drifters; Daytime Noir; The Places Where We Live; the Joe Bennett Collection, BeSheMoth and many more. The weekly showcase and individual programs will also be available to FX subscribers through FXNOW.
