New Trailer for Blue Sky’s 'Rio 2' Arrives

Twentieth Century Fox releases a new trailer for the forthcoming CG animated feature, Rio 2, the follow-up from Blue Sky Animation.

Twentieth Century Fox has released a new trailer for Blue Sky’s forthcoming ‘toon, Rio 2.

Bringing back Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway as the voices of macaws Blu and Jewel, the film finds the feathered family leaving their boring domesticated city life for a return to nature in the Amazon. It’s a jungle out there, and as Blu tries to fit in he goes beak-to-beak with the vengeful Nigel, and meets the most fearsome adversary of all – his father-in-law.  

Directed by Carlos Saldanha, the animated sequel also features the voices of Jemaine Clement, Tracey Morgan, Leslie Mann, George Lopez, Rodrigo Santoro, Andy Garcia, Bruno Mars, Rita Moreno, Natalie Morales, Kristen Chenworth and Jamie Foxx.

Rio made $485 million worldwide when it was released in April 2011. Rio 2 arrives in theaters in 3D in the U.S. on April 11, 2014.
