The notable He-Hunk will no longer play He-Man, leaving production of the already shaky live-action adaptation at a stand-still.
The He-Hunk is no longer the He-Man. Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Charlie’s Angels), notable for playing the teen heartthrob in basically every role he’s cast, has stepped down from his part as Prince Adam in Sony’s live-action Masters of the Universe adaptation. While providing no real answer as to why he left, a rep for the actor tells Collider, "He is no longer attached to that project." Centineo will still appear in DC’s upcoming Black Adam as Atom Smasher.
Aaron and Adam Nee (Band of Robbers) are currently slated to write and direct the film under the Sony Pictures and Mattel Films banners. Originally slated for a March 4, 2021 release, the film has faced multiple setbacks and a revolving door of writers. Plot details are equally shaky, but Masters is almost guaranteed to include Skeletor and a fight between good and evil (if the adaptation ever fully gets off the ground).
