Nurulize’s NuReality: Desert Home VR portal on show at SXSW 2015

New Virtual Reality experience shows glimpse into the future of VR.

Culver City, CA -- Leading virtual reality software developer, Nurulize are showcasing its NuReality: Desert Home VR experience on the Oculus headset at SXSW Interactive.

Visitors will be able to glimpse the future of VR first-hand, as they enter a highly detailed California vacation home and are presented with options to access a multitude of content options.

The Desert Home is groundbreaking in its application and is the most photorealistic VR experience on the planet.

A place for exploration

The Desert Home is designed to be a virtual vacation home where you can play, work, customize, share and be transported to other VR experiences. Once launched, users will be able to download and add new experiences, look at beautiful art objects, play games, share and customize the home to suit their own taste.

Philip Lunn, CEO of Nurulize comments, “This is a really exciting concept that we’ve been working on for some time. Imagine loading up the Desert Home, and exploring ancient artefacts, a spaceship from your favorite film, or the latest model of car you’ve had your eye on, all in incredibly rich real-time detail.”

Nurulize sees the Desert Home as a comfortable portal or channel from where users will be able jump in and explore a wide variety of content. From an advertising perspective, the breakthrough, hyper-real environment will be a place that consumers can view and compare products without even going to a showroom.

Lunn continues, “The applications are almost limitless. Users will be able to load and interact with highly detailed, authentic content, and advertisers will be able to add sponsored content. We’ll even be able to stream programming onto a TV in the Desert Home.”
