NVIDIA 2015 GPU Technology Conference Kicks off March 17

Media & Entertainment Track at GTC 2015 to highlight breakthroughs in GPU technology across broadcast, video, and filmmaking

NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) is the world's largest GPU technology conference, with this year’s event to be held March 17-20, 2015 in San Jose, CA.

Connect with experts from NVIDIA and other organizations, discover what's next in GPU advancements, and gain insight in the 500+ sessions and hands-on labs. This year, GTC will focus on the growing revolution in deep learning that can affect every aspect of computing.

The Media & Entertainment Track at GTC 2015 will highlight breakthroughs in GPU technology across broadcast, video, and filmmaking. This year's featured speakers include Dirk Van Gelder of Pixar, Kevin Margo of Blur Studio, Damien Fagnou of MPC Film, Vlado Koylazov of Chaos Group, Jules Urbach of OTOY Inc., and Iñigo Quilez and Pol Jeremias, creators of Shadertoy.com.

In addition, Jeremy Cowles, the GPU team technical lead at Pixar Animation Studios, will present Hydra, Pixar's real-time render engine for feature film assets and workflows. Peter Zion, co-founder and chief architect at Fabric Software, will demonstrate how the Fabric Engine Data-Flow Graph (DFG) provides an easy-to-use but powerful node-based visual programming interface that can be used for programming of CUDA GPUs. Joe Mancewicz, Principal Graphics Scientist at Rhythm & Hues Studios, will showcase Delta Mush, the studio’s powerhouse cleanup deformer, which smooths arbitrary deformation of a polygonal mesh without smoothing the original detail of the model.
