NXN alienbrain Studio Sales Pick Up in Asia

NXN Software, a leading supplier of asset management solutions for creative teams, announced increased market momentum in Asia for NXN alienbrain Studio. New NXN customers in 2003 included game developers such as NCSoft, Hanbitsoft and DR-Interactive in Korea, and CAVIA, Namco, Sonic Team, Think and Feel, Grandprix and Tose in Japan.

"NXN alienbrain Studio demonstrates NXN's unique understanding of the game development process and of game development teams," said Takuya Iwasak, producer at Cavia Inc. "The intuitiveness of their mission critical software makes NXN's asset management tool almost seamless for all team members; while its flexibility makes it adaptable to our unique, and often very complex, processes."

"Our recent successes in the Asian market point to a growing trend among game companies," said Shigeru Chigusa, vp Asia Pacific at NXN. "Game developers are recognizing that in order to compete in the global market, they need tools that can help them develop more efficiently across their teams."

NXN alienbrain Studio versions, tracks and stores production data throughout the development cycle. The graphical working environment provides thumbnails that help art teams find and view their latest file versions quickly, while a rollback feature allows team members to access all versions of a file ever created. The built-in workflow system makes it easier to determine the exact status of a file. NXN alienbrain Studio's reporting features allows managers to find out who is working on which file and help control production bottlenecks.

Avid Technology acquired NXN in January 2004. Avid is a world leader in digital nonlinear media creation, management and distribution solutions, enabling film, video, audio, animation, games and broadcast news professionals to work more efficiently, productively and creatively.
