PGS Secures Raft of Sales For Season Three of Method Animation’s ‘The Little Prince’

PGS Entertainment closes media licensing deals for season three of ‘The Little Prince’ with Canal Encuentro in Argentina, Minimax in Eastern Europe, MTVA in Hungary, and more.

Paris, France -- Pre-sales for season three of Method Animation’s animated series The Little Prince continue to pour in from around the world.  International brand manager PGS Entertainment has recently closed media licensing deals for the upcoming series with Canal Encuentro in Argentina, Minimax in Eastern Europe, MTVA in Hungary, Err in Estonia, Minika in Turkey, Noga in Israel, and Knowledge Network in British Columbia, Canada. The announcement was made by Philippe Soutter, president, PGS.

Broadcasters who have previously picked up rights to season three of The Little Prince include RTBF (Belgium), ABC (Australia), Télé-Québec (Quebec, Canada), DirectSight (Ukraine), TVo (Ontario, Canada), VRT (Belgium), LRT (Lithuania), RUV (Iceland), MTV3 (Finland), Workpoint TV (Thailand) and Discovery Latin America. 

At the end of the last season, the Little Prince defeated the Snake, who found himself trapped in our hero’s sketchpad, and the galaxy was calm again.  In this new season, the Snake escapes from his paper prison and the Little Prince needs to save planets from the chaos he causes by mixing up the elements of each planet. 

“The first two seasons of The Little Prince were captivating and kids and parents fell under the spell of the enchanting stories and stunning animation.  But season three has more in store as it includes new planets that are straight from the imaginations of kids around the world to participated in the drawing contest,” notes Soutter. “There are also new characters and, of course, a lot more adventures. We delighted to see that broadcasters are coming back for more episodes.”

The Little Prince television series is currently airing in over 150 territories and has been the recipient of numerous industry honors, including the Best Animated Series, Best Music and Best Producer awards at the 2011 Pulcinella Awards and the Best 3D Entertainment Program at the 2012 International 3D Society Awards, among others.  

The Little Prince is produced in association with France Télévisions, WDR, RAI Fiction, TSR, TV5 Monde, and Jeem TV.
