Phil Roman Returns To Film Roman Studios

On March 1, 2002, Phil Roman will return to Film Roman Studios, the company best known for THE SIMPSONS. Romans existing company, Phil Roman Entertainment, will move to offices in the North Hollywood studios of Film Roman. Roman founded Film Roman in 1984, but resigned from his post as chairman of the company in February 1999 to set up a new studio, Phil Roman Entertainment. That company has produced the television Christmas specials THE GAUDINS and GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER and is currently in production on 26 episodes of HOWDI GAUDI. But this is not just a location change for Phil Roman Entertainment. The two companies have agreed to work together on developing new and current projects. Phil Roman Entertainments development slate, includes a partnership with Atomic Cartoons in Vancouver to launch ATOMIC BETTY, and a deal with Tommy Lynch to produce the live-action kid series, JUNIOR LIFEGUARDS. "My troops and I are glad to be back where all the action is," said Roman. "We're eager to start creating exciting new projects together, and to top it off, it will be really nice to be with all of my old friends at Film Roman again." Roman rejoined the companys Board of Directors in mid-2001 and remains a substantial shareholder in Film Roman.
