VFX firm Prime Focus is branching out into production with a TV adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s book GOOD OMENS, writes The Hollywood Reporter. The company has tapped Monty Python’s Terry Jones and Gavin Scott (SMALL SOLDIERS) to pen the script.
The OMEN parody follows angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley as they try to stop the End Times following the birth of the anti-Christ.
Prime Focus Productions will produce with STV.
This marks the first production for Rod Brown, who was brought in to lead the production unit. He won a BAFTA for Sky 1’s HOGFATHER AND COLOUR OF MAGIC.
Also in the works is a drama from Caleb Ranson (DIAMOND GEEZER, DISTANT SHORES), which will star David Jason. Prime Focus and STV will produce with Shoreline Ent.
