Capcom and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan are teaming up for a sequel to 3-D toon RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION, titled RESIDENT EVIL: DAMNATION, reports Variety. Makoto Kamiya is directing and serving as vfx supervisor. The production firms hope to have DAMNATION ready by 2012.
DEGENERATION opened in three theaters in Japan in 2008. It sold 1.6 million copies worldwide in the home entertainment market.
