Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Media Group will kick off the new year with four brand-new episodes of the 2D animated preschool series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, which will premiere on PBS KIDS the week of January 6.
The new stories feature gentle life lessons about family, finding out how to be fair, learning to say “sorry,” and more.
In “Daniel and Mom Make a Treat/Jodi Sleeps at Her Dad's House,” Daniel is upset when he can’t make banana swirl, but Mom shows him another snack they can make together. Then, viewers will meet Jodi’s dad for the first time. The episode premieres January 6.
In “Daniel Does It His Way/Katerina and O Go Ice Skating,” Daniel is sad when he can't make footprints in the snow like Prince Wednesday. Instead, he makes them his own way. Then, Katerina is upset when she can't read like O. She learns she can read the story in her own way by describing the pictures. The episode premieres January 7.
In “Daniel and Dad Say Sorry/O the Owl Says Sorry,” Daniel runs into Grandpere’s house with dirty shoes and makes a mess. Daniel says sorry and helps Grandpere clean up. Then, O and Miss Elaina are playing with her robot when O accidentally breaks it. O says sorry and helps Miss Elaina fix it. The episode premieres January 8.
Finally, in “Daniel Finds Out What's Fair/O Finds Out What's Fair,” Daniel wants to ride in the stroller to the Music Shop, but Dad shows him that Margaret needs it. Then, O wants to sit in the front of Trolley, but Jodi gets carsick in the back. O realizes that he doesn't need the front seat like she does. The episode premieres January 9.
