Sierra Ent. is set to deliver SCARFACE: THE WORLD IS YOURS to North American store shelves on Oct. 8, 2006, for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Windows PC. In addition, SCARFACE fans will have an opportunity to score additional Tony Montana merchandise and bonus material through a pre-order campaign and a special "Collector's Edition" of the game. Fans who pre-order the game at participating retailers will receive a 24" x 30" SCARFACE print created by L.A. Pop Art, depicting an iconic film scene created out of the text of the original motion picture script. Pre-orders are now being accepted at participating retailers.
Additionally, a SCARFACE: THE WORLD IS YOURS COLLECTOR'S EDITION will be available in limited quantity for PlayStation 2. The Collector's Edition will include the entire game and a variety of extras packed into an exclusive metal case. The COLLECTOR'S EDITION will feature a bonus DVD including the "Making of the Game" behind-the-scenes documentary, a game walk-through with producer commentary, cast interviews and hints and tips, as well as a full map of the in-game world, game concept art and more.
SCARFACE: THE WORLD IS YOURS puts players deep into the seedy underbelly of 1980s Miami as the one-and-only Tony Montana. Players are challenged to re-enact the climactic mansion shoot-out from the original film, but in the game Tony survives. As Tony, they must then rebuild his fallen empire and seize vengeance on his enemies. The game features a Hollywood ensemble cast, a script penned by renowned scriptwriter David McKenna (AMERICAN HISTORY X, BLOW), sound effects provided by Skywalker Sound and a lineup of music from the 80s and current artists.
For the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, the game will sell for $49.99, and for Windows PC for $39.99. The COLLECTOR'S EDITION version for PlayStation 2 will sell for $59.99. Sierra Ent. will also release SCARFACE: MONEY. POWER. RESPECT., a game designed specifically for the PSP that combines turn-based strategy gameplay with realtime combat, this October.
