Nico Tortorella (SCREAM 4) is in talks to join ODD THOMAS, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Tortorella would play a police officer that is a secret member of a Satanic cult. The cast includes Anton Yelchin, Addison Timlin and Willem Dafoe.
In the story, Odd Thomas uses his supernatural intuition to track a man he calls the Fungus Man, who is surrounded by spirits that signal impending death. This powers are only known to his girlfriend Stormy Llewellyn (Timlin) and Sheriff Porter (Dafoe).
Stephen Sommers is the director and adapted the script from Dean Koontz's book series. Sommers is also producing alongside Fusion Films' John Baldecchi and Howard Kaplan.
Filming will begin on May 2 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
