Software Gets Big Push by Studios

According to TrendWatch, studio owners allocate nearly one-fourth of their new capabilities budget for software apps and add-ons.

In fact, more than 62% of studio owners say their production capabilities are a new business opportunity. When studios add new capabilities, 15% of their cost allocation budget goes for software and another 8% for software add-ons and 5% for training. By contrast, only 7% of the budget goes for workstations. TrendWatch suggests that by knowing how studios budget and allocate their costs provides big clues on how to pitch your products and services to them.
