PSAid: Public Service Announcements for International Disasters ContestWorld Wide WebApril 2, 2007Deadline: April 2, 2007
In its second year, PSAid challenges students to create a 30-second public service announcement (PSA) that will raise public awareness of and rally support for appropriate donations for international disaster victims. The goal of PSAid is to convey the message that "cash is best" when donating to disaster victims and to educate the American public about the importance of appropriate international disaster relief.
The first-place winner will receive $12,000 in cash and the chance for their PSA to be broadcast on national television. The second- and third-place winners will receive $5,000 and $3,000 in cash, respectively.

The Center for International Disaster Information (CIDI) is based in Arlington, Virginia, and was created in 1988 under a grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance.
