Studio 100’s ‘Heidi’ Headed to Scandinavia

Studio 100 Media secures Home Entertainment and VOD deal with Svensk Filmindustri in Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Sweden and Norway for the company’s revived CG-animated series ‘Heidi.’

CANNES, FRANCE – Studio 100 Media has announced a deal with Svensk Filmindusti, securing home Video and VOD for their revived CGI series Heidi. The animated series is already airing successfully across Scandinavia on NRK Super in Norway and on MTV3’s kids channel Juniori in Finland. It I scheduled to air in Sweden later this year on SVT Barnkanlen. The new agreement gives Svensk Filmindustri the exclusive Home Video rights for the Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland. The DVD/TVOD/EST release is scheduled for September 2016. The SVOD release on SF Kids Play will follow in summer 2017.

Targeted at six to eight year olds and a family audience, Heidi is based on the popular children’s book, Heidi’s Years of Wandering and Learning by Swiss author Johanna Spyri. The CGI animated TV series is produced by Paris based Studio100 Animation and Flying Bark Productions, Sydney, with Studio 100 Media responsible for the worldwide distribution.
