Studio 100 Signs Distribution Deal for 'Knietzsche'

Studio 100 Media acquires extensive distribution rights to vision X’s 2-D animated series Knietzsche.

Studio 100 Media GmbH announced that they have secured extensive distributions rights to the 2-D animation series Knietzsche (26 x 3’) from German studio vision X.

The agreement encompasses all broadcasting rights including home video and digital rights and extends to worldwide territories excluding Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Nominated for the German children’s film prize “Goldener Spatz” (“Golden Sparrow”) shortly after its inception and awarded and honored twice with the special award of the German Educational Media “Digita” in 2013 and 2014, Knietzsche is a spirited and witty show packed with edutainment and comic elements.  Targeted at 5 to 12 year olds and a family audience, the series is produced by vision X Film und Fernsehproduktion GmbH.

Commenting on the agreement Patrick Elmendorff Managing Director of Studio 100 Media said, “We are delighted to welcome Knietzsche to the Studio 100 Media portfolio.  The series makes an ideal addition to our rights library.  We are certain that this highly entertaining and energetic show with a rich blend of educational elements will be well received internationally.“

The world is chock-full of mysteries and questions. Who decides what’s fair? Is a lie sometimes better than the truth? And what happens after we die?  Knietzsche, the world’s smallest philosopher ponders on all of the important topics that intrigue children and often leave adults stumped for an appropriate answer. Curious observer that he is Knietzsche finds his own answers to the major questions in life. Sometimes funny, sometimes comforting but always clever and always at eye level with our little viewers - Knietzsche is in the know without being a know-it-all.
