Taekwon V Sets Korean Animated Film Record

TAEKWON V, a classic Korean film about a tae kwon do trained robot has set a new record for domestic animated movies, reports ARIRANG NEWS. TAEKWON V attracted more than 500,000 moviegoers in its first 13 days of release breaking the previous record set by BLUE SEAGULL in 1994.

TAEKWON V, originally released in 1976, has been digitally restored. Industry experts believe the film's popularity will continue as the movie has attracted an average of 200,000 viewers a week.
